Our home is on a small farm in Appling, a rural Georgia town where
we’ve lived for the last nineteen years with our four
dogs and bunches of cats (We keep acquiring more cats!).
Our journey began years ago in California, where my husband and I
were born and raised, and has taken us from sea to shining sea and
even across our great northern border (brrrr).

Being petite, I learned to sew at the
age of twelve just to have stylish clothes that fit. My Grandmother
taught me on her old Singer sewing machine. I continued to make most
of my own clothes through my teenage years. At college, it was a little
hard to lug that old singer around campus. But, when we first married,
my husband enjoyed his new source of custom fitted shirts. After our
children were born in the mid 70’s, I had little time or energy
to sew or do many of my other hobbies. Years later, I realized how
much I missed my art and sewing. So I started back painting and making
quilts. I just couldn’t
stay away from my hobbies very long. All-in-all sewing has taught
me many lessons. Mostly good -- except for that time I sewed my finger
and had to go to the emergency room.
Both our children are now married and we have a little
five-year old grandson and a newborn granddaughter --And, another
on the way-- I’ve
always wanted to have my own shop and the internet has made that possible.
So, please look around at what we have to offer. We welcome your requests
and suggestions for anything you don’t see.
